What is RCMP-certified?
RCMP-certified means that your fingerprints are sent to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) - Canada’s national police service, to check for a criminal record. Only RCMP-accredited agencies (like Yes Secure Fingerprints) are allowed to submit fingerprints directly to the RCMP. This ensures that your background check is official, secure, and accepted by the government, employers, immigration, and legal services across Canada.
The fingerprinting appointment takes about 20–30 minutes.
Most RCMP results are processed and delivered in 72 hours, depending on how busy the system is. Some cases may take longer if further review is needed.
